I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
